At our cutting-edge facility in Great Baddow, Essex, our friendly staff will make you feel at ease straightaway and can answer your fertility questions. We want you to feel comfortable during your fertility journey and confident in our abilities.
Most people that visit our IVF clinic are nervous about their fertility journey. However, this is completely natural and we will be on hand to provide support all the way.
The process begins with an initial assessment, which will identify your fertility status through a series of short yet extensive tests. This doesn’t require a GP referral and takes place onsite.
Once we have the results, one of our fertility specialists will discuss your situation and go over the various options. We have numerous packages available to suit the unique circumstances of every individual.
To make things as easy as possible, the assessment and results review need just two appointments, which can be arranged according to your schedule.
Fertility treatment is usually sought by men and women who want to start a family but have trouble conceiving. Women may have absent or damaged fallopian tubes, endometriosis, or another unexplained issue, while men can suffer from low numbers, poor quality, or a complete absence of sperm.
However, you might not have a medical problem and want to pursue fertility treatment for another reason. For example, we warmly welcome single women and same-sex couples to our IVF clinic.
Most fertility journeys involve IVF (In-Vitro Fertilisation). It begins by combining sperm and eggs (or cells if using a donor) in a petri dish. This then gets placed in a laboratory incubator for up to five days. After this time, one or two of the resulting embryos are removed, transferred to the women’s uterus, and hopefully implant for a normal pregnancy.
It is important to be aware that the UK average success rate for an IVF treatment cycle is around 30 per cent. Therefore, you must be prepared for every scenario.
If the treatment is successful, we will arrange a scan at the clinic around seven weeks into your pregnancy to make sure everything looks good. We can then hand you back to your GP, remembering to tell him or her about the medication you’ve been prescribed.
If the treatment is unsuccessful, we will be there to offer our comfort and support. You can discuss your options with us and even begin another cycle after a couple of months.
