Visiting Simply Fertility’s IVF Clinic Essex

If you would like to find out your fertility status, we can provide you with an assessment that doesn’t even require a GP referral. Simply Fertility can also offer a wide range of additional services based on your unique circumstances.

For the assessment, we will conduct a series of short yet comprehensive tests, which should highlight any fertility issues. One of our specialists will then sit down with you to discuss the results and your options.

The tests and review only require two appointments, both of which take place on site. We can also arrange your visit at a time that suits you for added convenience.

Those considering IVF clinic typically include men and women that want to start a family but have trouble conceiving naturally. But it can also be used by single women as well as same-sex couples.

Women who require IVF often have absent or damaged fallopian tubes. However, it is also commonplace among patients with endometriosis, unexplained female infertility, and male infertility.

The process of IVF (In-Vitro Fertilisation) will combine sperm and eggs (or cells if using a donor) in a petri dish, which is then placed in a laboratory incubator for two-to-five days. After this time, one or two of the resulting embryos are removed and transferred to the women’s uterus. With any luck, they will implant and develop as normal.

IVF treatment protocols

  • Long Protocol IVF – This is the standard protocol for IVF and will suppress the patient’s hormones to take control of ovulation. Known as down-regulation, the process is completed by using medication called agonists. Also, the patient is required to take injections for stimulating the ovaries in the hope of producing follicles containing mature eggs.
  • Short Protocol IVF – Some patients prefer this protocol because it does not involve the use of tablets. Even so, it might not be the right method for you and will need talking over with one of our specialists.
  • Antagonist (mild) IVF – The third protocol option still uses injections but over a shorter period of time. The benefits are that it minimises discomfort, brings down the cost of medication, and reduces the risk of ovarian hyperstimulation. What’s more, it can be tailored to the individual.
