What to expect from Simply Fertility’s IVF Clinic

You can visit Simply Fertility for an assessment if you are unsure about your fertility status. To suit every individual situation, we have a number of packages on offer and there is no GP referral required either.

Every package will feature a series of simple yet comprehensive tests, which should highlight any problems. From there, you can receive a full review from one of our fertility professionals, who will discuss the results and any recommendations.

Best of all, our test and review requires just two appointments. Furthermore, they can be arranged at a time that is suitable and will take place entirely on site for added convenience.

Treatment at our IVF clinic

Along with single women and same-sex couples, IVF (In-Vitro Fertilisation) is a popular treatment among heterosexual couples wanting to have kids and start a family but cannot conceive naturally.

Your sperm and eggs (or cells if using a donor) will be combined in a petri-dish and then placed in a laboratory incubator to fertilise. After two-to-five days, one or two of the resulting embryos will be removed and transferred to the women’s uterus in the hope that they implant and develop like a standard pregnancy.

IVF is commonplace for women with fallopian tubes that are absent or damaged. However, it can also be beneficial for those with endometriosis, unexplained female infertility, and male infertility.

IVF treatment protocols

  • Long Protocol IVF – This is the standard procedure for IVF and starts with suppressing the patient’s hormones in order to control ovulation. Known as down-regulation, Simply Fertility will use medication called agonists to complete this process. However, it also requires the patient to take injections that stimulate the ovaries to produce follicles that contain mature eggs.
  • Short Protocol IVF – Although some patients would prefer short protocol IVF, as it does not involve the use of tablets, the most appropriate option will be discussed with you during consultations and chosen based on your circumstances.
  • Antagonist (mild) IVF – A third and final option is antagonist (mild) IVF, which still involves injections but over a shorter period of time. This can afford a number of advantages such as minimising discomfort, bringing down medication costs, reducing the risk of hyperstimulation, and a more tailored package for the individual.

Do not hesitate to contact Simply Fertility today for more information or to book an appointment.
