Your visit to Simply Fertility’s IVF Clinic

If you are unsure of your fertility status, you can visit Simply Fertility for an assessment. There is no need for a GP referral and you can choose from a variety of packages based on your situation.

You will undergo a series of simple yet thorough tests, which should highlight any fertility issues. From there, one of our fertility specialists will review your results and can discuss future options with you.

The tests and review require just two appointments for added convenience. What’s more, both take place entirely onsite and can be arranged at a time that suits you.

How the treatment works at Simply Fertility’s IVF clinic

IVF (In-Vitro Fertilisation) treatment is most commonly used by couples that want to start a family but can’t conceive naturally. However, it is also suitable for single women and same-sex couples too.

We will take your sperm and eggs (or cells if using a donor) and combine them in a petri dish. This is then placed into a laboratory incubator for between two-to-five days to fertilise. After this time, one or two of the resulting embryos will be removed and transferred to the women’s uterus. Fingers crossed, they will implant and develop just like a normal pregnancy.

Women that require IVF often have absent or damaged fallopian tubes. Then again, it is also beneficial for patients experiencing endometriosis, unexplained female infertility, and male infertility.

IVF treatment protocols

  • Long Protocol IVF – This is the standard protocol for IVF and involves suppressing the patient’s hormones in order to control ovulation. Simply Fertility will do this by using medication called agonists in a process known as down-regulation. Later, the patient will also require injections that simulate the ovaries to produce follicles that contain mature eggs.
  • Short Protocol IVF – This method of IVF does not involve the use of tablets, which several patients prefer. However, it might not be the most appropriate protocol for you and this will need to be discussed during a Simply Fertility consultation.
  • Antagonist (mild) IVF – This option still involves the use of injections but over a shorter period of time. It can be tailored to the individual and affords a number of advantages such as minimising discomfort, bringing down medication costs, and reducing the risk of hyper stimulation.
