Your visit to our fertility clinic Southend

As soon as you walk through the doors of our fertility clinic, we’ll aim to make you feel welcome and comfortable. We know this can be a daunting prospect, but with the help of our staff, you should soon know what lies ahead.

Several patients at our clinic will undergo a Rapid Fertility Assessment. This will provide you with your fertility status and give us an idea of what treatment options would be suitable. At this stage, there is still no obligation for you to proceed with us.

If you do, options include:

  • In-Vitro Fertilisation (IVF) Treatment
  • Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI)
  • Surgical sperm retrieval
  • Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT)
  • Tests for implantation failure
  • Pre-Implantation Genetic Screening (PGS)
  • Pre-Implantation Genetic Diagnosis (PGD)
  • Intra Uterine Insemination (IUI)
  • Frozen Embryo Transfer (FET)
  • Egg and embryo vitrification (freezing)
  • Fertility preservation
  • Harmony prenatal test

Treatments at our fertility clinic Southend

  • IVF – In-Vitro Fertilisation is the most common type of fertility treatment. Eggs and sperm are combined in a petri dish before being placed in a laboratory incubator for up to five days. One or two of the resulting embryos are transferred to the woman’s uterus through the cervix in the hope they will develop as normal. With IVF, you take drugs to stimulate your cycle.
  • ICSI – This treatment is appropriate for couples where the man has low numbers of normal, motile sperm, as we inject a single sperm directly into each egg. It is also suitable for couples who have experienced unexplained failure of fertilisation in previous IVF treatment. Bear in mind that ICSI is only recommended in cases of proven male infertility.
  • Frozen Embryo Transfer (FET) – Although a lot depends on quality, spare embryos from IVF treatment can be frozen for future use. Our frozen cycle success rates have been consistently rising and are now almost as high as our fresh cycle rates.
  • Other treatments – These include surrogacy, fertility preservation, egg freezing, help from donors, surgery, or help with natural conception.
