Common treatments at our fertility clinic Maldon

  • IVF – In-Vitro Fertilisation is the most common form of fertility treatment. Eggs and sperm are combined in a petri dish before being placed in a laboratory incubator for up to five days. The resulting embryos are transferred to the woman’s uterus through the cervix in the hope they will develop naturally. Drugs are required with IVF to stimulate your cycle.
  • ICSI – With conventional IVF, more than 100,000 sperm are placed in each egg to stand a chance of fertilisation. But ICSI involves the injection of a single sperm into each egg. The treatment leading up to and after ICSI is exactly the same as a conventional IVF cycle. ICSI is appropriate for men with low numbers of normal, motile sperm.
  • Frozen Embryo Transfer (FET) – Providing they are suitable, spare embryos from IVF treatment can be frozen for future use. Frozen cycles are also necessary for those wishing to use previously stored embryos.
  • Other treatments – Options to consider include surrogacy, fertility preservation, egg freezing, help from donors, surgery, and the continuation of natural conception.

How we strive for success at our fertility clinic Maldon

At Simply Fertility, we have a scientific team that works incredibly hard to maintain the highest of standards in our laboratory. They call upon many years’ experience along with the latest technology to provide patients with the best chance of success.

Currently, the success rate for a typical IVF treatment cycle is around 30 per cent in the UK. However, since moving to our new facility at the start of 2017, we have seen very encouraging results.
