Visiting our fertility clinic near London

Book an appointment at Simply Fertility and the first thing we will do is determine your fertility status with an assessment, which doesn’t require a GP referral. We will conduct some short yet thorough tests in order to highlight any fertility issues you might be experiencing.

One of our fertility specialists can then review the results and discuss the options available to you. Regardless of the outcome, we have a broad spectrum of options on offer to suit your situation.

For added convenience and peace of mind, both the assessment and review take place on-site. These appointments can also be arranged around your daily routine.

Receiving treatment at our fertility clinic near London

IVF treatment is common for couples that want to start a family but cannot conceive naturally. However, it is also available to same-sex couples as well as single women.

The main reason for women to pursue IVF is because they have absent or damaged fallopian tubes. Other issues can include endometriosis, unexplained female infertility, and male infertility.

The process of IVF (In-Vitro Fertilisation) starts with combining sperm and eggs (or cells if using a donor) in a petri dish, which is then placed in a laboratory incubator for two-to-five days. After this time, one or two of the resulting embryos are removed and transferred to the women’s uterus in the hope that they will implant and develop as normal.

IVF treatment protocols

  • Long Protocol IVF – The standard protocol for IVF, which will suppress the patient’s hormones to take control of ovulation. Medication known as agonists are also used during the process, which is called down-regulation. Injections are required at a later date to stimulate the ovaries and produce follicles, which contain mature eggs.
  • Short Protocol IVF – This protocol for IVF does not involve the use of tablets and is therefore a better option for some patients. Even so, your options will still need to be discussed with one of our fertility specialists to determine whether Short Protocol IVF is suitable.
  • Antagonist (mild) IVF – The third protocol for IVF uses injections but over a shorter period of time. It can be tailored to the individual and affords a number of advantages such as minimising discomfort, bringing down medication costs, and reducing the risk of hyperstimulation.
