The treatment options at our fertility clinic Chelmsford

  • IVF – This is the most common form of fertility treatment.IVF involves the fertilisation of eggs with sperm in a laboratory incubator. After just under a week, one or two of the embryos are transferred to the woman’s uterus through the cervix and will hopefully develop as they should. IVF is commonplace among women whose fallopian tubes are absent or damaged.
  • ICSI – With conventional IVF, at least 100,000 sperm must be placed in each egg to stand a realistic chance of achieving fertilisation. But with ICSI, we inject a single sperm directly into each egg. The treatment leading up to and after ICSI is identical to IVF. It’s suitable for couples where the man has low numbers of normal, motile sperm.
  • Frozen Embryo Transfer (FET) – Spare embryos from your IVF treatment can be frozen for future use, depending on their quality. Frozen cycles are necessary for women wishing to use their previously stored embryos too.
  • Other treatments – You may also be interested in surrogacy, fertility preservation, egg freezing, help from donors, surgery, or the continuation of natural conception.
