As Medical Director and Consultant Gynaecologist, Subrata Gangooly is invited to speak at conferences all around the world.

In April 2018, Mr Gangooly attended the 23rd Annual Congress of the Indian Society for Assisted Reproduction, in Kolkata, India, as both speaker, judge and demonstrator in the Scientific Session part of the congress.

The opening message to the conference, from the outgoing President of ISAR, Dr Duru Shah, MD, FRCOG, stated: “The Annual Conference brings together clinicians and scientists to update their skills and knowledge in this galloping field of fertility treatment. The knowledge gained benefits millions of couples and brings smiles and tears of joy to their faces when they see their beautiful babies. We as a community of fertility experts do get immense satisfaction seeing this joy, especially after the struggle women have gone through, to get blessed with a child,” which is a sentiment we at Simply Fertility understand only too well.

Subrata spoke on Surgery in PCOS – The Evidence; and on Pathophysiology for Uterine Distention; as well as judging in the Success from Failures session and demonstrating in the Endo-training session.

Mr Gangooly studied Medicine in Kolkata in 1995 and obtained his Member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (MRCOG) in London in 2002.  He has worked at Kings College Hospital, London and gained his fertility experience and Fellowship in Assisted Conception and Infertility at St Bartholomew’s Hospital, London. His area of expertise in subfertility, menstrual disorders and general gynaecological issues means that he publishes papers and abstracts for leading journals and at other national and global meetings, as well as teaching and training medical students in this exciting and rewarding area of fertility.
