Andy and Sarah Glew are the founders of Simply Fertility. They are both Clinical Embryologists with over 55 years of experience between them. They each had experience in setting up and running successful fertility centres and bring a commitment to ensuring that every person walking through the doors receives an excellent standard or care and understanding.
Andy and Sarah hand picked a team of highly qualified doctors, nurses, scientists and support staff to help you navigate what can be a confusing and emotional time in your life.

Sarah Glew has over 20 years’ experience in Clinical Embryology and is a state registered clinical scientist.
She has set up and managed IVF laboratories throughout Essex and spent time assisting the development of a unit in Australia.

Subrata graduated from medical school in 1995 and obtained the MRCOG in 2002 followed by a Master Degree in Medical Education.
His fertility experience was obtained from St Bartholomew’s Hospital, London and continues with his current post as Fertility Specialist at the Broomfield Hospital, Chelmsford. Subrata has specialised in the treatment of couples with subfertility and women with menstrual disorders and general gynaecological conditions.

With almost 20 years’ experience, Dr Mohamed has worked both nationally and internationally to help couples realise their dream of starting a family.
He developed his PhD in endometriosis and infertility at The Royal Free Hospital, before joining Bart’s and the London’s Reproductive unit.
“As a senior fertility specialist and Consultant Gynaecologist, I work across all aspects of fertility treatment and specialise in advanced reproductive age, recurrent implantation failure, reproductive immunology, preimplantation genetic screening, endometriosis, polycystic ovary syndrome and male fertility.”
Garima is a consultant gynaecologist with 17 years of experience in obstetrics and gynaecology. Garima is currently Consultant at the Homerton IVF centre in the East of London.
She chose to work in assisted conception because of her passion and desire to help people wanting to have a baby.
She is well trained to deal with all aspects of fertility problems as PCO, tubal factor, unexplained, endometriosis ,male factor and same sex couples.
Also at Homerton, she specifically looks after cancer patients seeking egg/ embryo preservation along with onco-fertility team.
“I have a very keen interest in the patient experience and quality of care provided to our couples at the centre and enjoy working very closely our team to deliver the highest levels of care to all our patients.”

Nicola has a degree in Medical Science and started her career in
Embryology in 2003 at the Homerton hospital.
Nicola achieved her ACE certificate in 2005 and gained state registration as a
Clinical Scientist in 2008. She joined the Essex Fertility Centre in 2006 prior to
successfully managing the Laboratory team at Herts and Essex Fertility Centre
from 2011 to 2017. Nicola has had a central role in training as an external
assessor for the ACE certificate and as a supervisor for trainee embryologists andtechnicians. She is also a member of the Institute of

Eleanor has previous experience working at the Assisted Reproduction and Gynaecology Centre (ARGC) where she was a patient co-ordinator.
Her dissertation during her Masters Degree was focused on sperm morphology.

Sourima is essentially excited about ‘all things small and beautiful’. She is a Health and Care
Professions Council (HCPC) registered Clinical Embryologist, currently working at Simply
Fertility and was awarded the ‘Rising Star’ in Embryology at Fertility 2020, by the Association
of Reproductive and Clinical Scientists, UK (ARCS, formerly ACE). Her academic career includes
a BSc (Hons) in Human Genetics (Newcastle University), followed by an MSc in Clinical
Embryology (University of Oxford), PhD in Reproductive and Vascular Biology (Newcastle
University), and a short postdoc at the Max Plank Institute of Biochemistry in Munich.
Sourima enjoys applying her academic experience clinically and transferring it through
public/professional engagements (British Science Festival, ARCS Policies and Procedures),
presentations (Fertility, ESHRE, ASRM), delivering lectures (MSc in Clinical Embryology,
Oxford University), developing course content (ARCS International Certificate in Embryology)
and mentoring (ARCS Buddy-up). Her research interest includes preimplantation human
embryo development and selection, especially with regards to cellular differentiation,
embryo endometrial cross-talk and the use of time-lapse imaging, many of which she has
presented on, at national and international conferences and published in a number of peer reviewed journals.
Alicia joined the Simply Fertility laboratory team in January 2020 after completing the NHS Scientist Training Programme in Reproductive Science at The Hewitt Fertility Centres in Liverpool and Knutsford.
Alicia is a HCPC registered clinical embryologist, with experience of working/volunteering in 3 UK HFEA registered clinics and she holds a Masters in Reproductive Science from Manchester Metropolitan University.
“The science and technology involved in fertility treatment drew me towards working in this sector, I now most enjoy having the opportunity to help patients through their fertility journey and ensuring that as a team we give everyone the best chance and as much support as we can.”
Nicole joined Simply Fertility’s administration team in December 2016.
She has previously worked in other private hospitals but this is her first role within a fertility unit. She is dedicated to providing a first class service to all patients that visit Simply Fertility.
“I feel very privileged to work alongside a great team and will always strive to help our patients wherever possible.”
Sharon has worked at Simply Fertility since 2016.
Sharon is always on hand to help ensure patients’ needs are met and everything runs smoothly and efficiently. Prior to joining Simply Fertility, Sharon worked at Barclays Bank in various roles before becoming Finance Officer at a primary school for eight years.
“I love it here! It is a great place to work and I love to see the patients come back and visit us with their babies when their journey with us is complete.”
Ria joined the Simply Fertility team in March 2017, shortly before the opening of the new state-of-the-art clinic, and has loved every minute so far!
Having previously worked in a customer service role for seven years, Ria provides all-round administrative support and first class organisational skills.
“I love my job and enjoy working as part of a small team, where everyone looks after one another. I’m fairly good at recognising a face, and I love getting to know patients and helping them throughout their journey.”
Lucy has been working as a quality manager in fertility for three years now and recently joined the Simply Fertility team in August 2017.
Lucy’s experience and knowledge allows her to make sure statutory regulations are met, ensuring our patients get the best possible care.
“I feel it is my responsibility to ensure the unit not only complies with all the statutory regulations and protocols, but also strive to deliver the highest standard of quality care to all our patients. By working together as a strong and passionate team I know this is achievable.”
Marie graduated as a Clinical Psychologist from the University of Hull in 2006. She has experience in working across all aspects of physical health and emotional well being using a variety of therapies including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. The counselling service at GCRM aims to offer a safe and supportive space to explore the emotional impact of your fertility journey. It will also offer the opportunity to discuss the implications of your treatment, both for you and when appropriate for the other people it may effect. Marie is HCPC registered and a member of the British Infertility Counselling Association
Mark has been practicing acupuncture for over twenty years. He was trained at the school of Five Element Acupuncture by world renowned teachers.
He has been treating people going through fertility treatment at Simply Fertility since the clinic opened. There are many studies that show how acupuncture can benefit those trying to conceive.
Mark offers treatment packages alongside fertility treatment plans and can offer a treatment just before and just after embryo transfer which studies have proved can increase the changes of implantation.
Baby has more than 20 years of experience as a nurse working in theatre and as a gynaecology nurse specialist.
She joined the nursing team in November 2016, working with patients and supporting them throughout their journey at Simply Fertility.
“My job is extremely rewarding and I enjoy working with such an experienced team. I am appropriately named Baby for the joy I help to bring in people’s lives.”
Annette Bolton is a Fertility Nurse Assistant and Ultrasonographer at Simply Fertility. She has six years’ experience in this role and gained her fertility ultrasound qualification in 2013.
A committed member of the nursing staff, Annette thrives on being part of a dedicated team where everyone works together to care for and support patients.
“I am very passionate about my job and I feel extremely privileged to be involved with couples undergoing fertility treatment. It’s extremely rewarding to see the joy of couples becoming parents.”
